伊凡·克里玛，捷克著名作家。1931年出生于布拉格一个犹太人家庭，10岁时随父母被关进纳粹集中营，在那里度过三年时光。他所有儿童时代的同伴都死于毒气室。　　　　 1956年，克里玛毕业于布拉格大学文学语言系，在一家出版社任编辑，同时开始小说和剧本的创作。1968年苏军进入捷克后，克里玛应邀去美国一所大学做访问学者。一年后，他谢绝了朋友们的劝告回到捷克，随即失去了工作。为了生计他做过救护员、送信员、勘测员等工作，同时作为自由撰稿人写作。有20年时间他的作品在捷克完全遭到禁止，只能以“地下文学”的形式在读者中流传。 克里玛和哈维尔、昆德拉并称捷克文坛的三驾马车，近年来国际声誉日隆。有很多评论者认为，他的文学成就和社会声望都在昆德拉之上。
